Description

The hotel was constructed in 1987. The hotel contains a large indoor atrium topped with a unique skylight. The skylight is a cluster of 20 pyramid-shaped acrylic skylights installed during original construction. Due to the configuration and limited access, the skylights could not be maintained leading to on-going water leaks as the skylight approached the end of its service life.

Scope of Work

FEC inspected the existing skylight and provided different options for reconfiguring the skylight cluster and skylight replacement. FEC is also designing the installation and transition details for the roof around the skylight, and reviewing the installation.
